As an entrepreneur who studied nutrition, yoga and meditation practices
I have been a health enthusiast and adventurous home cook for over twenty years. I decided to respond to a gap in the market by creating my own organic, vegan, gluten-free cereal. I initially started making cereal at home because I couldn’t find anything that ticked all the nutrition boxes that didn’t taste like cardboard. Having started training for triathlons I was experimenting with an anti-inflammation diet which was free of dairy, gluten and refined sugar. It turns out that I was onto something. After sampling my organic cereal creations, family and friends pestered me to make some for them. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to receive countless stories from customers and friends who have experienced significant health breakthroughs by eliminating inflammatory foods from their diet.
My passion is helping everyday people struggling with low energy and health setbacks make the connection between diet, lifestyle choices and their health symptoms.
My goal is to help you feel better, simplify your busy life and get back to basics. I’ve boiled it all down to create a blueprint that cuts through the misinformation and reduces the overwhelm that comes with making healthy changes to your lifestyle and mindset.
What I’ve noticed is that people have never been busier. “Busy” has become a badge of honor, but those who wear it are often over-tired, overworked and sick. They aren’t sure how to make the needed changes which will be impactful and achievable for them. Everyday brands bombard us with misinformation about what to eat, slather on our bodies and clean our homes with through advertising and social media. I believe that everyone deserves objective, ethically sourced information about how to make choices that protect their health and the environment.
Taking personal responsibility for what you put in and on your body is the key to rewriting your health story, and this starts with not taking product advertising and marketing at face value. The reality is that the more processed items are, the easier it is to disguise harmful ingredients and the harder digestion becomes.
My intention is to provide you with easy-access information and resources to help you.
This starts with understanding what all those weird chemical ingredients in your cereal, prepared foods, skin care and household products are. I’ll show you what’s toxic and what’s not. Where to invest more money on your grocery bill and where you can save money. One of the things that drives me crazy are the fad diets and unhealthy weight loss products. I want people to know that it’s not a diet that changes things, but a series of gradual changes to their lifestyle.
Mindset Matters: Why is it important for you to focus on mindset and not just nutrition?
A health crisis can quickly take you down an emotional dark hole. Illness is like the rock sitting at the bottom of that hole; it looks okay until you pick it up and look underneath to expose all the gunk (poor diet, emotional distress, overwork, lack of self-care, stress, toxic exposure, etc.) By holding the problem up to the light, you can see the whole picture and true healing can begin.
The essence of all this is that everyone deserves to know the truth… whether it’s about the value of avocado oil (good fat is good for you!), the nasties in your home products, or the true impact of too much processed food. You can feel better, live your best life on your terms, and go from surviving to thriving, even if you have troubling health problems like extra weight, ongoing fatigue, allergies or digestion issues. Let’s not forget about the so-called diseases of civilization – cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, autoimmune disorder and obesity. Maybe you just want to look and feel your best and slow down the onset of aging.
One of the things I find most concerning is the increased dependency of people defaulting to prescriptions and surgery to fix the problem before considering dietary changes and functional medicine alternatives. I have personally witnessed many friends and acquaintances transform their health and reverse diagnoses and believe you have the power to heal by changing your lifestyle.
My hope is to inspire and awaken you to a greater possibility for your health.

From Surviving To Thriving
My goal is to provide you with easy-access information and resources to help you make better choices. This starts with understanding what all those weird chemical ingredients in your cereal, prepared foods, skin care and household products are. I’ll show you what’s toxic and what’s not. Where to invest more money on your grocery bill and where you can save money. One of the things that drives me crazy is the fad diets and unhealthy weight-loss products being pushed by influencers and media personalities. I want people to know that it’s not a diet that changes things, but a series of gradual changes to their lifestyle. Using my own personal experience and research, I’m including powerful stories and real-life case studies from some amazing people who awakened to their personal truth and created their own vitality story using the blueprint offered in this book.
The book is broken up into two parts:
In Part One: Make Healthier Choices, I guide you to taking back your health by eating right, finding ways to manage stress and regular exercise. Great health can be achieved!
In Part Two: Make Healthier Meals, I’ve mapped it out for you by developing tasty meals you can make at home, with the help of guest contributors like Chuck Hughes and my mother. Preparing healthy meals is easy when you have the tools.
